Information on the "EU Data Act“

Data is created all the time and everywhere. Our vehicles also generate and send data. We use this general data for numerous data-based products and services that support your fleet management. To continue benefiting from these offerings, we require your explicit acceptance. This is regulated by the EU Data Act.

According to the EU Data Act, as a manufacturer of connected products and services, we are obliged to create a legal basis (End User License Agreement) with you as a user of these services. The EU Data Act will come into force on September 12, 2025.

In order for 米乐体育 Truck & Bus SE (米乐体育 T&B) to continue providing you with digital services and other data-based products and services, we are obliged by the EU Data Act to conclude an additional contract that enables the processing of vehicle data necessary for delivering these services. You will receive this contract via RIO Portal and via the 米乐体育 sales organization.

1. General Information about data

a) Access to data

Specifically data access under the European Data Act is covered by 米乐体育 Truck & Bus in cooperation with the Volkswagen Group Info Services, a fully owned subsidiary of Volkswagen AG. Even more, please find detailed terms of use and more options on data products for special purposes (Fleet, non-captive leasing etc.) on this dedicated website.

Truck & Bus customers can place and receive data requests for their 米乐体育 Truck & Bus fleet and share data with 3rd parties. Data Request 米乐体育 Truck & Bus: > Customer Center

Estimated Volume:

米乐体育’s Connected Products offer various versions and customization options. The general estimated volume of the data generated in our Connected Products is highly dependent on the individual vehicle parameters (including but not limited to version, equipment, type of use, modifications, digital service bookings).

All Connected Product types are capable of generating data continuously and in real time.

c) whether the connected product is capable of storing data on-device or on a remote server, including, where applicable, the intended duration of retention

Connected Products store data on board as well as are capable of sending data to backends. Retention duration of collected data depends on the type of data and use-case. Data retention on the current backends is possible for up to 10 years.
